Hot Rolled Sheet

The hot rolled sheet has previously been pickled and oiled, is again run through a series of rollers without the addition of heat. This compression of the steel at room temperature causes it to become work hardened. It provides a rougher surface than cold rolled steel and plate. Hot rolling is a mill process which involves rolling the steel at a high temperature. The hot rolled steel involves rolling the steel sheets above re-crystallization temperatures. The hot rolled sheet is made for use in various industries.
